Poetry and Prose: Faith, Hope, and Love

At the present time, we live by faith, repenting and mourning for sin; we live in hope of the glory which will one day be revealed, and we wait for possession of the heavenly mansions Christ went to prepare for us. We patiently await all the good that is promised to us, but not yet conferred upon us.
A day will come when our faith will be turned into sight, for we will see the Most High and Holy God, we will see His Heaven with all the angels, we will see our loved ones, we will see all the biblical saints, and who knows how much more.

On that day our Hope will be turned into happiness, our desires into gratification, our waiting into possession. When this happens, there will be no need to believe any more, there will be no need for hope,  there will be nothing to desire, and our waiting will have ceased. There will be no further need for any of these.  But even then we shall continue in love -- indeed, we will love more than ever, more abundantly, more perfectly, and continually, without pause or change, for love is eternal.
Those who love Christ sincerely here on earth, will love Him perfectly hereafter, and be forever blessed in that love. But those who do not love Him in this world, cannot love Him in the next.
As long as there is God, the believing Christian shall not only exist, but live. As long as there is heaven, the believing Christian shall enjoy it; as long as there is Christ, the believing Christian shall live in His love; and as long as there is an eternity, the believing Christian shall continue to fill it with delight.

O’ starry night, the love of Christ constrains me
And my heart is overflowing with the sweetness of joy
For I am enduringly His and He is eternally mine
His robust embrace, none can ever destroy

O’ if I could but look to see the pearly gates
I believe that my heart would leap, you see
For my Savior, I know, will be waiting there
With His arms opened wide, reaching out for me.

O’ that I might see, that I might see
The heavenly rainbows glistening beautifully
The day that faith and hope have passed
And love remains on me at last ... at last.
